Sylvester Stallon, Arnold and Bruce willis are the three actions icons of Hollywood. They ruled the cinema world for 15 years(from mid 80 to the end of 90). But even in this long period they never shared a single scene. But all that is going to change in the 2010 release THE EXPENDABLES starring Stalllon, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Micky Woork, Dolf Lundgrain and Steve Austin(WWE fame).Arnold and Bruce willis have guest appearences. Directed by Stallon him self this is expected to be a seven million dollar project. Now you may be wondering why an article that should be published in a movie site is published in a motor vehicle site. Thats because the hero character Sylvester Stallon is using a hotroad truck(old vehicle that have a new engine and modification) and we are going to discuss about that.

A 1955 model ford F-100 pick-up truck is used in this film. In most cases the making and modification of vehicles used for films is kept as a secret. But in this case Stallon acted in a different way he contacted the Street customs program producers. They modify one car each day and show it as a program, by this the film will get some free advertisement and the truck will be shown to the whole world. The team doing the modification for Street cutoms is a california based company called West Coast Customs. Modification work was done according to the demands of Stallon. Designing was done keeping the old beauty of the f-100, this was a major problem faced by the designing team. For that they had to take technical help from outside companies.

The old engine is replaced by a 420 bhp engine and mat finish paint resembling the stealth fighter planes is used. For the modern touch 20 inch alloys with low profile tyres is used . For shooting three cars are used one (Hero car) for ordinary scenes ,another one for the stunt scenes and the third which has no engine . The third car will be used for close up shots and special effect.
