German auto giant Audi is planning to release their compact hatchback car Audi A1 first time in India by 2011. In India, hatchback segment is becomes the new trend. Audi A1 first time famous at the Tokyo motor show in 2007. From this year 2010 Audi A1 is available for sale in UK. The company promise that Audi A1 should be more sportier and luxurious in the class. Audi A1 will available in four variants 1.2L TFSI, 1.4L TFSI, 2.0 TDI and 1.6L TDI engine. NISSAN MURANO

Japan auto maker Nissan is planning to launch their latest mid size SUV Nissan Murano in India by 2012. Nissan Murano was first introduced in 2002, the second generation Murano was introduced in 2007 but that was available in the market for sale in the year 2008. In 2009 and 2010 updated versions of Murano was introduced in the market but it was not introduced in India yet. By introducing Nissan Murano in India, the company intends to tap into the potential offered by the growing SUV market of India. NISSAN PIXO

Nissan is going to launch a new hatchback car in the Indian Automobile market by the beginning of 2011. After the successful introduction of Nissan Micra, this is the next car which is going to explode in India. Nissan tied-up with Suzuki to develop Nissan Pixo on the basis of Suzuki A-Star. MARUTI SUZUKI CERVO

Maruti Suzuki India, plans to launch a new model compact car Maruti Suzuki Cervo by the end of this year 2010. This car will come in the entry level segment. The introduction of Tata Nano in the Indian Auto market seriously affects the demand of Maruti’s most popular model Maruti 800. According to this, in all aspects, Maruti introduces Cervo as a competitor for Tata Nano. The expected price of Maruti Cervo is Rs. 1.5 – 2 lakhs. NEW SKODA FABIA

Skoda Auto India introduces a new generation Skoda Fabia in the premium hatchback segment. Skoda changes not only the exterior of Fabia but also in the performance level. The traditional shape is same for the new generation Fabia but headlights, front fog lamps, bumper, radiator grille etc are changed. The price of these new generation Skoda Fabia versions starts from Rs. 4.35 to 6.69 lakhs at the Delhi ex-showroom. New Skoda Fabia will available in both petrol and diesel engines with 1.2L, 75bhp. The new petrol engine has 5bhp and for diesel engine 7bhp more than the existing engines. The new Volkswagen Polo also comes with the same engines. In future the company plans to launch Fabiavariants powered with 1.6L engine which is now using in Volkswagen Vento.
