Suzuki Gladius 650

Even though mileage is the selling factor in India lots of super bikes and cruisers are coming here. Suzuki launches its Gladius Motorcycle, priced around 7 -lkhs it would be one of the cheapest superbike in India. The look of the bike is very much similar to the yamaha FZ even the engine look like the engine of FZ.

Engine

The 645cc 2-cylinder V-twin engine produce a power of 66.6 hp @ 9000 rpm and 63nm torque @ 7600rpm. Bore length and stroke length each cylinder is  80 mm and 62 mm respectively. Fuel compression ratio is approximately 11:1. The highly advanced FI system in this bike takes care of each and every drop of fuel, the bike gives an average of 24kmpl.

Honda CR-V Diesel

Honda is also going for the diesel variants, with the towering petrol price just good engines will not sell. People need more efficiency from their cars even if it is a SUV. Honda has only produced Petrol cars for a long time now its going for a diesel variant of its popular model CR-V.


The engine will be a i-DTEC and will have a displacement of 2000 cc. The power will be 134 hp and 347 Nm torque. There will be very little cosmetic change,so the petrol and diesel counterparts will look the same.
Expected in Late 2011
Estimated price: Rs 22.5 – 25 lakh

Peugeot comes back

peugeot India carsFrench auto manufacturer is planning a reentry in Indian market. P.S.A Peugeot is the second biggest car producers in Europe. Although they had been active in Indian roads in 90s ,they are forced to quit after a long legal war with their Indian partner, Premier Automobiles. They had planned a reentry in 2008 but it was abandoned because of the economic slowdown. Now they comes back with a mid sized sedan in mind to push an opening in Indian market.
South India, specifically Andrapradesh or Chennai is the expected locale of the manufacturing plant with Mumbai as their business centre. Rajesh Nellor will be managing director.
