GS 150R review

February 9th, 2010 by Rider | Posted under Bikes.

The unconventionally named gs150r in nothing but a strong competition for the honda unicorn . It has all the features to topple unicorn. But the reliability of the bike is et to be proven as it is a new entrant(only one year). But by looking at suzuki’s former products like the samurai(the no problem bike)max 100 etc the queston of reliability is out of the scene. In the highly competitive segment of 150 gs stands apart from the crowd with its sixth gear(one down five up). This is great advantage for the highway rider ,because as the no of gears increase the mileage and comfort also increases. It also enhances the engine life as  in the sixth gear the pressure on the engine is reduced.

stylish new gs150r

Even at high speeds the vibration generated from the engine is less because of the engine balancer technology ,it is equipped with balancer driven gear shifted with a rubber damper for reducing the impact noise generated by its meshing with balancer driven gear. The digital console has a rpm meter, gear indicator, power mode and economy mode indicator, speedometer, fuel guage, trip meter, time and mileage indicators. The headlight / front part of the Suzuki GS150R is a bit disappointing as it is similar to that of Pulsar. It has a bikini fairing with wolf eyed headlamps. The clustered LED tail looks superb.Highest speed is about 120 kmph.
