The SLS AMG roadster has the honor of being India’s most powerful open top car. The power and performance of a monster, the SLS AMG Roadster has all the trimmings of a formidable sports car. Along with the Mercedes AMG roadster, Mercedes also introduced the all-new 2012 M-Class to India for the first time. Bollywood actor, director and producer Farhan Akhtar became the first customer of M-Class. “Our showcase at the Auto-Expo this year will be impressive, both in terms of presentation and display vehicles. There will be several show-stoppers, including the launch of the stunning SLS AMG Roadster,” Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Peter Honegg said in a statement issued here. The Mercedes pavilion as it always was remained a huge attraction to the visitors.

It is a competent off-roader when specified with the right hardware. It’s not just about the looks; it has the performance to match its looks. The convertible version of the iconic Mercedes Benz SLS AMG will also be launched in India. The price tag sure will be high but with a history AMG carries with it, it’s worth every penny. The convertible version is surely designed to raise the heartbeats of many. The company’s stall at the Auto Expo will see the presence of more than 10 cars, including the SLS GT3 and the DTM car. BMW @ Auto Expo 2012

The BMW is always a visual treat at the Auto Expo 2012 and this year too it was no different. BMW stall showcased its leading models. BMW India’s big launch was that of the 2012 M5 performance sedan. Based on the F10 BMW 5 series, the M5 represents some really serious performance at a brilliant value price. Another major attraction was the BMW Vision Connected Drive concept. It’s not just about the looks but the technology that it brings with it. Then there was the BMW MINI, a tough competitor in its class.

Peugeot comes back

peugeot India carsFrench auto manufacturer is planning a reentry in Indian market. P.S.A Peugeot is the second biggest car producers in Europe. Although they had been active in Indian roads in 90s ,they are forced to quit after a long legal war with their Indian partner, Premier Automobiles. They had planned a reentry in 2008 but it was abandoned because of the economic slowdown. Now they comes back with a mid sized sedan in mind to push an opening in Indian market.
South India, specifically Andrapradesh or Chennai is the expected locale of the manufacturing plant with Mumbai as their business centre. Rajesh Nellor will be managing director.
