Chevrolet has launched the LPG version of it highly successful hatchback Beat in India today. Totwering petrol price has caused people to opt for diesel and LPG cars and Chevy tries to get advantage of this new trend.

The first thing that comes to our mind when thinking about LPG fueld cars is that 1.Safety and 2.fuel efficiency. For the first: Since the chevy beats LPG kit is  factory fitted  it is more reliable.

It is tested for quality and endurance. Unlike the LPG kits you addon later, using this LPG does not void your warranty because it is factory fitted.

Indica vista electric

In the Thailand International  Motor Expo 2010 Tata motors introduced a  electric car based on its Indica Vista platform,the Indica Vista EV. Range is the problem with all electric cars but the indica vista EV which is powered by super-polymer lithium-ion battery  promise 200 km on a single charge. This car is not sluggish like the other cars in the market, it can go from 0-100 kph in 10 sec which is quicker than many petrol&diesel counterparts.

mercedes maybach

Mercedes Benz India, relaunched its super-luxury sedan Maybach. It has two variants the 57 S and 62 with a price of Rs.4.85 crore and Rs.5.10 crore. According to the  company it will take six to nine months for delivery. Model 57 has a engine capacity of 5980 cc and model 62 is 5513 cc. Maybach 57 goes from 0 Km/hr to 100 km/hr in just 4.9 seconds and its maximum speed is 275 km. Maybach 62 cars goes from 0 Km/hr to 100 km/hr in in just 5.4 seconds and its max speed is 250 km/hr. Both cars have 12 cylinder engine. The Maybach 57 S has 611bhp. And the Maybach 62 generates 537bhp.

The  daytime LED driving lights integrated in the front bumper enhances safety. (more…)

Honda Brio

Honda Brio CarHonda is to make its entry into the Indian entry level hatchback market with the Brio this year. Their first venture into the hatch back segment was the Honda Jazz which was a failure because of its high price and less fuel efficiency. In India Honda was concentrating all their resources and effort at selling cars in the metros only. Now Honda wishes to target smaller towns with the Brio.The new Honda is expected to be powered by a three-cylinder 900 cc engine which is a detuned version of the engine of Jazz. (more…)

mahindra mini xylo

New Mahindra Xylo smallM & M is developing a smaller 5 seater version of Xylo. The car will be a little  smaller than its big brother and is expected to be powered by a engine under 1.5L capacity. A smaller engine is used because it has to qualify for the tax redemption given to vehicles under 4 metres length. The platform used will be a smaller platform of the current frame of xylo. Like the rio of premier this car will have two rows of seats which can  accommodate 5 adults.

Mini Xylo is aggressively priced and is estimated to be around Rs 5lakh which is about 30% cheaper than the existing (more…)
