R125 going to be launched in india

Yamaha India is on the path to come back. After the two stroke era the company was having some serious set backs. Though they where the best two stroke bike producers in India, with the introduction of fuel efficient 4 stroke bikes by other companies their share in the market began to drop. Enticer was a good try from them but the model did not succeed. Other bikes of Yamaha in the entry level and the level above only have a small portion of the market.
Every thing changed with the introduction of the FZ and R series. Yamaha is returning to the cult status it had in the 80′s and 90′s. Sales is picking up and youngsters now prefer Yamaha to any other brand. To follow the big brother R15 R125 is going to be launched in India. The description of the bike is as follows.

The bike was first launched overseas in 2008. Yamaha R125 in overseas market has a single cylinder,124.66cc, liquid cooled, SOHC engine. This engine can deliver maximum power of 14.5 bhp @9,000 rpm and maximum torque of 12.2 Nm @ 8,000 rpm. In order to increase the efficiency and top end speed R125 will have six-speed gearbox and an FI system. The performance and rigidity is increased by five-spoke lightweight alloy wheels ,Deltabox chassis and aluminium swing arm. For effective braking R125 has 292 mm front and 230 mm back disc brakes.The ignition will be electric and the dry weight will be 126.5kgs weight.

As its big brother the R1 r125 will have the aggressive R-series styling. The riding position will be sporty, the head lamp will be Dual R series styling. Cowling of the bike is ultra low to give the look and stability.

Yamaha spark in India

Two wheeler giant Yamaha is entering into to Indian gear-less scooter market. This market is currently dominated by the Bajaj, Honda and TVS. Their entry into this segment is very late and as other companies has flooded the market with lots of cheap model Yamaha will face tight competition.
Spark looks like Hero Honda street reloaded. In Indian market looks dosent matter much to the success of a vehicle only durability and mileage matter.In the case of durability Yamaha has proven itself but the efficiency of the vehicle will be the key point in success.

Engine:
The engine of Yamaha Spark 135cc will be forward-inclined, single cylinder, SOHC, 4-valved and liquid cooled. This new age engine offer a maximum power of 11.49PS @ 8,500 rpm and maximum torque of 11.65 Nm at 5,500 rpm. Yamaha Spark first scooter in India with a liquid cooled engine and It could be very fuel efficient. The efficiency expected is 35 to 40 km/lt.

Brakes:
Front brakes will be disc brake and rear wheel will have drum brakes. The braking system of the scooter of the scooter is designed to prevent brake slip and wheel locking*.

Suspension:
The scooter has telescopic suspension at front and mono-shock in the rear. This is the suspension that is seen commonly in scooters now. It offers greater stability and comfort.

New Royal Enfield Fury

No matter what the the new age bike companies give RE will have a special place in the heart of the Indian customers. The company has been seeing a steep rise in the sale even though the price of petrol is towering. Last two years Royal Enfield introduced many model in India. The next in line could be Royal Enfield Fury. There was a older bike of the same name which was used in the track 1959-1963.

RE will not be using the old crappy engine but a brand new engine will be the heart of the new bike, Fury is based on the fuel-injected Electra.It has features like twin silencers, western-style handlebars, digital console, flat-track style glass fibre seat, a chromed headlight and chromed indicators.

Engine of Fury: 500 cc air cooled single cylinder engine which can produce an output of 27hp at 5500rpm and 41Nm at 4000rpm is used. This spec is rare in Indian bikes. The engine is coupled with a five speed Cruise drive transmission. The expected effieciency of Royal Enfield Fury is 25km/lt and the expected fuel is petrol. Reserve capacity of will be 1.5lt and the tank capacity will be 13.5 liters.

Comfort & handling : The seat is designed low for the comfort of the rider but the elevated rear seat may not provide much comfort to the pillion rider. Long slung posture of Royal Enfield Fury is suitable for long and adventuros rides. The front suspension of Fury is of 130 mm length and is made of Telescopic and Hydraulic Damping Stroke.The rear suspension is Swing Arm With Gas Shock Absorbers. Even though mileage is the selling factor in India lots of super bikes and cruisers are coming here. Suzuki launches its Gladius Motorcycle, priced around 7 -lkhs it would be one of the cheapest superbike in India. The look of the bike is very much similar to the yamaha FZ even the engine look like the engine of FZ.

The 645cc 2-cylinder V-twin engine produce a power of 66.6 hp @ 9000 rpm and 63nm torque @ 7600rpm. Bore length and stroke length each cylinder is 80 mm and 62 mm respectively. Diesel bike by Hero

Every one knows hero and Honda has split. The joint venture which gave India the slogan “fill it shut it forget it” is no more. Hero the Indian partner will have the right to sell Hero Honda bikes till 2013. After the split the two companies are in a race to prove who is the better. Honda as we all know with its products like Unicorn and Activa is a head of Hero. Hero on the other hand does not a product to boast on.

Now hero is trying a new strategy, seeing the demand for diesel cars(costlier than the petrol counterparts) hero is planning to launch a diesel bike. A Chennai based indo us company is expected to produce the engine for them.Its not clear now whether an mechanical injector based engine or CRDI Diesel Engine be used.The chances of a CRDI is higher because of the emission and performance needs.The engine will be 4 stroke which produce a power of 30 BHP(assuming). A CRDI disel car give us a mileage of about 18 to km. Now imagine what would be the efficiency of this engine. We know the crude diesel engine RE produced using the technology of the 70s give us a mileage of abt 70 to 80.km. No doubt is this bike is launched it will be a great success(of course if the engine does not have any flaws).

Yamaha has added a new sportier bike in SZ series, the Yamaha SZ-R which is a 150cc bike. The SZ-R bike is available at the price of Rs/-63000. SZ-R’s peppy engine can produce a maximum poer of 12bhp@7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 12.8 @4500 rpm.

This new bike gets a front disk brake and a tank protector, the tank protector gives SZ-r a large bike look. SZ-R will be available three colors Black, red and blue. The expected mileage that Yamaha SZ-R will return is around 60-70 kmpl in mixed driving conditions.

November is pretty good for motor racing lovers, because there are four racings (Two Grand Prix, One WRC race, and One Classic race) and one motor show. Among the two Grand prix, first one is MotorGP Valencia Grand Prix on November 7^th and the second one is F1 Brazilian Grand Prix on November 14^th. This two racings test has duration of only one day each. But the Great Britain WRC Rally has 3 days of duration starts on November 12^th and ends on November 14^th. But the Classic Adelaide racing at the Australian city Adelaide, starts on 18^th November and ends on 22^th November. On that day itself Sharjah Motor show will begin and ends on 27^th November. This Motor show has a life of 5 days.

Suzuki SlingShot launch

Japanese bike maker Suzuki has launched its new bike SlingShot in the Indian market. Suzuki SlingShot is powered by a 125cc engine. The price starts at around Rs. 44,000 in New Delhi. Its a bike for who like the style of a 150cc bike, but the price and fuel efficiency is similar to that of a 100cc model. Suzuki further announced that they are going to invest heavily in India in the coming years to expand their production capabilities to meet the growing demand of Suzuki bikes in the Indian market.
